The subject of modernization of the gas compression station in Kouřim was upgrading and optimizing the number of turbosets. At the same time, by the upgrading was achieved increased safety with the emphasis on meeting all current technical, safety, fire standards and norms. It mainly involved the construction of new bypass of DN 300 to existing waypoints closures DN 900 with high welding demands. We have faced inaccurate design documentation, different pipe wall thicknesses and especially sand subsoil. A precondition for making bypasses was the adaptation of the existing DN 900 route including insulating couplings.
